
R.A. Neitzel, MPA grew up in Salem, received his undergraduate degree in venture management and business administration from Oregon State University, and earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Portland State University. R.A. Neitzel was the Director of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology Services for the Portland Veteran’s Medical Center for 9 years prior to becoming the Administrative Director and Pension Plan Trustee for Salem Radiology Consultants in 2004. Area residents may remember R.A. Neitzel as a standout area athlete playing baseball for McKay High School and Oregon State University before being drafted professionally by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1990. R.A. played three seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. His wife, Jennifer is the principal of Kalapuya Elementary school and they have three children, Menley, Easton and Wilson.
